Discuss changes in local and state leadership, and final plans for the auction April 9th. What programs are set for 2015-2016. Who will rep us at the meeting in the Governor's Office about our missing CalSTRS Board Rep. How many are going to Wash. D.C. for us, April 15th. The Area II Leadership meeting will be in Redding April (TBD). How many will attend the CalRTA State Conference in Orange Co. May 15-17. Next buy-out at Riverfront Playhouse, and plans for the next trip to Ashland Shakespeare, and to Chico Sierra Nevada Brewery. Latest financial report shows $9,051 in general account, $4,956 in scholarship account. Current dues are now $54/year.

Say, let's have lunch together! There's a lot of fun to have with our silent auction, to raise money for student scholarships. If you have an item to put on the block, donating makes it more fun. No six foot rabbits named Harvey, please. We will announce the winner of our 1st V.P. contest. Bring a guest who might want to talk with our guy who is heading out to Wash. D.C. on April 15 to lobby for us all on the WEP-GPO repeal. From San Diego to Eureka we are hoping to meet with our CA. reps. in Congress. There will also be a report on the Dr.Seuss Read in the Class Day (Sequoia), and on our Teacher Mini-grants (Modoc).
Reminder: bring a jar of peanut butter for those in need, bring a book for our Little Library (Buckeye) and a good used bra (ask Kristi why) Hear about our table at the Multi-cultural Faire. Meet a teacher from Western Weaverville, Eastern Alturas, Northern Weed, and maybe even Southern Cottonwood!Congratulations to Mayrene Edmiaston who was recognized for years and years of service to Div 16. Thanks to Cregg for the neat wooden pencil-holders at the tables ... give-away to our guests, and those of who can't resist them. Thanks to all of you roll-out to lunch in a wheel-chair! AREA II LEADERSHIP MEETING

Bob Sharp is our Area Director. The Area II (Shasta-Trinity-Modoc) leaders (7 Divisions) will meet in Redding in April. Date and time not firm yet. Discussion will include events of State Conference (especially Presidents Session), open nominations for Area II Director. Promotion items will be better Membership Recruitment, Effective Communications, New Leadership Recruitment, and Wider Outreach. CALRTA STATE CONVENTION in MAY

Our annual Convention will include Election of Officers, Budget review, and some Bylaw changes. This is the best learning experience about CalRTA. Friday: Division Presidents all-day session, and Fun-night. Saturday: Workshops and Interest Sessions, Area II caucus (we will elect a new Area II Director), and pm Awards Banquet. Sunday: am, State Committees meet, and Closing Lunch. Sunday and Monday State Board meets. Our Bill Kipp will be on the State Board as Past-President, and Ken Hewitt as President. We will celebrate our Area II and Div 16 members who serve on State Standing Committees. Let's carpool Redding to Sacto airport and back. SoWest flights leave at 9:25am land at10;50am. Return at 4:45pm land at 6:10pm. Free shuttle service airport - hotel. About $150 round trip flight, but no luggage fee.
